  • Their second album in a row to be a bunch of variations. A fun songwriting exercise I'd like to try.
  • Sounds good, but doesn't get many emotions stirring for me like their past few releases.
  • Didn't like sax-a-ma-phone that much when I heard it on their KEXP performance, but this variation hits.

  • Idol joins forces with Japanese Tame Impala to create the soundtrack for the group of friends that rent a beach house every summer.
  • Also giving Flower Boy vibes and all the other orange sky music.
  • The only Twice-related release I can enjoy from start to finish. Maknae on top.
  • Favorite Tracks: SHOOT (Firecracker), RIBBONS

  • This lanky dude.
  • Future funk witout the anime imagery and city pop samples. So, french house, which future funk is derived from now that I think about it.
  • Fun, sunny ride back to the 2010s, but I'm out of sunscreen so imma peace out.

  • Found this in my auntie's old record collection.
  • Higher Ground with the iconic clavi with the wah intro. Also, does he always play most every instrument on his records?
  • Wonder what it felt like to hear his albums at the time they came out.

  • In your face. Rough not like sandpaper, but those exfoliating bath towels.
  • Blasted out shouting and saw waves.
  • Liked this a little less after it became the soundtrack to a very long search for parking one day.

Tropical Dandy

Artist: ็ดฐ้‡Žๆ™ด่‡ฃ (Hosono Haruomi) | Release Date: 1975.06.25

  • Revisited since it got repressed for its 50th anniversary. Got hooked all over again. I prefer this album, and Bon Voyage Co., over his much more talked about first album, Hosono House.
  • Classic Hosono fusion of influences from jazz to folk to Hollywood exotica et cetera. Smooth, funky, quirky, bouncy. The sunset on the cover washes over you the entire time.
  • This music will be by my side till the day I die.

  • She be serenading the late night coffee shop every week with this stuff.
  • Weird to put an instrumental of a song before its vocal version. Weirder even to open your album with it, but go off.
