My Works
A sampling of music I've made. Please enjoy. Comments and inquiries are more than welcome in my guestbook.
River Beach
An acoustic guitar piece spontaneous in both composition and recording. Overdubs recorded through a hand mic lying on my desk.
Having played other instruments from a young age, I picked up guitar much, much later. Even after buying a Telecaster from a store closing sale I had trouble getting started and put it away for a long while, that is, until recent years. It feels great to be able to play a chord-based instrument that allows the performance of almost any song on its own.
My brother lending me his acoustic guitar sparked even more inspiration. Free from cables, reverberations on my chest, always being at the center of the sound, having less of a weight burdening my shoulder. I could soundtrack my walks and visits to the creek or the park.
Since learning guitar, I've written many bits and pieces, but fully-formed ideas have been a struggle. In contrast, each part in River Beach was improvised on the spot and recorded in mostly single takes. Letting things flow like the streams filled with spring showers.

Juicy Grooves 🍹
This playlist contains short tracks I created based on "juice orders" by users on a message board that was run by my friend. Orders were made by either giving three keywords, or a single keyword combined with choosing ice and sweetness levels. Genres or artists as keywords were not accepted. I then interpreted them in my own way and came back with a track that was hopefully to their satisfaction.
This idea came to me while I was looking for a fun way to practice making more music, then actually share it with others. The unique prompt format of a juice order provided both creativity-inducing restrictions and relief from the worry of trying to fulfill potentiallly overspecific requests and falling short. A light-hearted excuse to send little gifts to friends using what I have to offer. It was a lot of fun to challenge myself in this way. I appreciate everyone who participated and helped me grow. Not sure when and where, but I'd like to set up shop again one day.
